World Missions Centennial Begins
The World Missions Centennial Celebration began on January 5, 2010 in Nassau, Bahamas. The Tuesday night service was kicked off with music played by a special Bahamian brass band followed by a welcome from Fedlyn Beason, Field Director to the Caribbean.
The sermon for the night was given by Tim Hill, first assistant overseer. His scripture was taken from Lamentations 3:48. He shared how missions is the heart beat of Jesus Christ and the heart beat of the gospel. He shared a few testimonies taken from mighty missionaries around the world and shared how we are living in an urgent time. "Time is running out," said Hill. "When you see the church loving, you are seeing Jesus. When you see the church feeding the children, you are seeing Jesus. When you see the church reaching others, you are seeing Jesus."
World Missions still has a message of hope for this world today. We need to reawaken ourselves to the need of revival around this world!
